Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions directed at women.

The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We do not comment on internal matters."

A Prolific Literary Career

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.

Several of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.

To date, he has released over four dozen titles combined, which features a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
